Shalom! My name is Yael Lumy, and I’m an industrial designer based in Pardes Hanna, Israel.

I grew up by the sea, and it has always been a big part of my life. It is a place where I find peace, curiosity and inspiration, and something I deeply care about.

​

Creating has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I like working with my hands, exploring materials, noticing how things are made, and finding ideas in the world around me. I’m curious by nature, and I enjoy getting close to a subject through research, conversations, fieldwork and making, before turning what I learn into thoughtful and practical design solutions.

I’m especially drawn to projects that connect design with nature and the environment, and I enjoy working with people and learning from the places and contexts I design for.

I hold a B.Des in Industrial Design from Bezalel Academy, where I graduated with honors, and an M.Des from the Technion, with a focus on ecological, biological and marine design.
